Ganesh Chaturthi, is the grand Hindu festival or Utsav also known as 'Vinayaka Chavithi' and is celebrated every year in Milton Keynes as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu deity. This event has been in running for 7 years and the aim is to organise the celebrations every year !

In 2017, this event will be conducted on Sunday, 27th August at the Sports Hall, Stantonbury Leisure Centre, Stantonbury, Milton Keynes, MK14 6BN. Timings of the event are 09:00am till 6:00pm. The event is FREE and ALL ARE WELCOME
About Ganesh Utsav Samithi
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Milton Keynes were initiated by 'Ganesh Utsav Samithi', an entity established in the year 2010 by few individuals who are passionate about giving something worth remembering back to the community. This entity is solely devoted to provide and organise the celebration environment in Milton Keynes and around. The Utsav extends to all people, regardless of their religious beliefs, Gender, Age, Race, Community, Locality or ethnic background.
More than 1000 people from various communities ranging from Indian to British based in Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Northampton and other areas attend this yearly event. There is a procession of the Ganesh idol along with rhythmic beats of drums and dance conducted at a lake every year which is hugely popular.
