We have commissioned freelance writer Gordon Lamont to produce this MK50 School Resources pack so that schools all over Milton Keynes can get involved in Milton Keynes’ 50th Birthday.

The pack is organised in Key Stage sections covering a range of curriculum areas including English, History, Geography, Physical Education, Art and Design, and Design and Technology with links to the relevant National Curriculum documents. The pack has been designed to enhance children’s and young people’s engagement with Milton Keynes’ 50th birthday, focussing on a community celebration that we hope students will remember and value as they grow.

This pack also contains ideas to enable every school to celebrate Milton Keynes with an MK50 Assembly on Monday 23rd January 2017 – the actual date of designation.  Please do join in this city-wide initiative and share your assemblies with us on Social Media via #MK50.

The MK50 team encourage schools to look across the Key Stages as there may be ideas that can be used or inspire lesson plans for classes.
